Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG)

The Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG) is the national funding institution for applied research and development. As a “one-stop shop”, it offers a wide range of services for companies, research institutions and researchers. FFG’s Aeronautics and Space Agency connects these entities with the European and international space world. It implements Austria’s space policy and represents the country on international space committees, including ESA boards. The Austrian Space Applications Programme (ASAP) funds research into space science, technology, and applications. Finally, as the central interface between Austrian interests and European programmes, FFG’s Copernicus contact point supports Austria’s competencies in the field of satellite Earth observation and interacts with the Copernicus community.
