Strong Economy

Baden-Württemberg is one of the strongest economic regions in Germany and Europe.

Dynamic Ecosystem

The region is famous for its universities in Heidelberg, Freiburg, Karlsruhe, Constance, Stuttgart, Ulm and Tübingen, and its entrepreneurial strength in the form of companies like Daimler, Porsche, SAP and Bosch.

Baden-Württemberg is known for its “Tüftler”, a term indicating people with a great enthusiasm for technical problems and their solution. Therefore, the state, with its open-minded spirit, is a suitable place for start-ups with innovative ideas.

Chamber of Commerce and Industry Reutlingen
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Reutlingen is very active in the field of start-up support. For three years, it has been running the ESA Business Incubation Centre in Baden-Württemberg, with two sites, one in Reutlingen and one in Friedrichshafen, where it supports up to 30 start-ups over a period of 4 years with financial and business support. The Copernicus Masters is very often the starting point for further funding and cooperation possibilities for start-ups because of the initial evaluation by and feedback from the well-chosen jury for the Copernicus Masters competition. The Chamber has been enrolled in this since 2007 with a great deal of enthusiasm and support for all of its participants.
